Insurance
Our insurance coordinators deal with many different insurance companies. Some companies offer many different dental plans. These companies can change benefits, co-pays, and deductibles many times throughout the year. Dealing with insurance companies can be difficult and time consuming. It is the patient’s primary responsibility to be aware of their dental coverage. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your dental insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current. Due to HIPPA regulations, no contact can be made by this office to any insurance carrier regarding your coverage until you are a patient of record.
Private and Group Insurance
As a service to our patients, we are happy to submit your dental claims to your insurance carrier. The majority of dental plans reimburse approximately 30 – 80 percent of most treatment costs. We try as best we can to estimate what your insurance company will pay us on each claim we submit, and then collect what we believe is your portion at the time of service. Should there be a discrepancy between what we have estimated your portion to be and what the insurance company pays, this amount becomes your responsibility to remit to Dr. Waring. It is understood that you as the patient are primarily liable for payment for all services rendered.
Medicare / Medical
Medicare does not cover any dental treatment as it relates to periodontal care. We do not submit to Medicare or to any medical insurance. We will be happy to prepare data for you should you elect to submit to medical insurance on your own.
