How to Get Rid of Denture Odors

If things don't seem right and you start to notice an odor from your dentures it may be time to take a step back and find out what might be causing it. That last thing you want is an embarrassing odor coming from your dentures. Making sure you clean them properly every day is important to make sure you are getting that layer of dirt off.

Plaque can build up on your dentures and cause them to smell. Food particles in your mouth can lead to bad breath. It is important that you take them out every night to soak them.

Make sure you brush them every day before you put them back in. Try to rinse your dentures after eating. This may not always be the most convenient if you are out to dinner with friends, but getting rid of any food particles will be the best way to prevent odor.

It is also important when taking care of your dentures to take care of your mouth at the same time. A soft brush to the inside of your mouth will remove any smelly bacteria, so don't forget your gums, and tongue too. Rinse with a mild mouthwash can be an easy addition to your routine.

Remember, we want you at your best. Not only looking good, but feeling good as well. We understand when you are having an off day it can change the way you feel. We are here to keep you smiling inside and out.
